PROPOSED SERVICE CHANGES IN NORTHEAST TACOMA IMPACTING ROUTES 903/63, EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 22, 2019
A public hearing will be held as part of the Board of Commissioners’ meeting on Monday, June 10, 2019. The meeting begins at 4:00 PM and will be held in the Pierce Transit Rainier Conference Room, 3720 96th Street SW, Lakewood, Washington. The purpose of the hearing is to allow public comment on proposed changes to Pierce Transit bus service.
Pierce Transit is considering modifications to the service in Northeast Tacoma which will result in:
- Elimination of King County Metro Route 903 service within Pierce County.
- Extension of Pierce Transit Route 63 to Northshore Pkwy NE & Norpoint Way NE, and an addition of at least 3 weekday trips.
A recommendation on the Routes 903/63 Service change will also go before the Board of Commissioners for final consideration at the July 8, 2019 Board meeting.
